Life's been busy.

I'm babysitting for a neighbor almost daily till the end of October and I'm wokring with Lacey, who's now almost 7 months old!

I've also been keeping up with my article writting and so far I have 3 published articles!

I also decided one day to take a risk and write a letter to Ian Miller, 9 time olympian and also known as "Captain Canada!"

Here is a bit of info on him for those of you that don't know who he is.

Ian Miller is a famouse show jumper.

He has been jumping for about 40-50 years (He's now over 60!) and at one point wond over 11 Million dollars in 11 years!

He is also known for having the famouse show jumping stallion "Big Ben" who was so famouse he was made into a Breyer model horse and even has a horse show named after him!

They are almost IMPOSSIBLE to find but I was fortunate enought o get a hold of one and it's on it's way to me now!

Once we are moved to Ontario, I'm going to visit Ian Miller and ask him to autograph it!

Ian Miller and Big Ben were so famouse, they were made into a statue! It's AMAZING!!

Unfortunatly, Big Ben died before I could ever meet him, he died at the ripe old age of 23 in 1999.

Despite his dam being 15.1 hh and his sire being 15.3 hh, Big Ben reached the amazing height of 17.3 hh!!!

Anyway's, moving on....

I wrote to Ian Miller, I think it was August 25th and I asked him if he would allow me to interview him to a future magazine article.

To be honest, I did not expect a reply.

To my suprise, yesterday I came home from babysitting and there it was, "THE LETTER"!

He accepted my offer and I'm going to be sending him my questions in a few days!

He also sent me an auographed photo of him and Big Ben!

It's my pride and joy!

When I told my editor that he was going to let me interview him, she was shocked!

In Other news...

Lacey is now 12.2 hh and is 440 lb's!

Last month she was 339lb's and 12.1hh.

She's growing like a weed!

Mina's doing good too! I'll try to post some pics when our comp is not so slow!

It's already the end of August (my b-day is tomorrow, 17 yrs old, WOW!)

We'll be going to the fall fair on September 5th. It is sooooo fun! Rides, livestock, food, games etc. I've got a few pics from tomorrow.

 MY FAV 2 RIDES!!!

This first one here, you stand inside up against the wall, then it spins so fast that you are sucked against the wall and cannot move, with great effort, you can turn yourself upside down!

Here is a pic of my fav ride while it is mid air upside down!! Here is a pic of the ride while pple are getting in, then it does a full swing upside down, you hang upside down for about 5 seconds! I LOVE IT!!

This ride Josh keeps trying to convince me to go on, but, I don't know! Maybe this year! LOL This is the biggest bull and cow in Canada! Last Pic, this was a really pretty/sweet horse! Well, that's it for today, more later!

I will proubably not get another post in untill we've already gone to the fair next weekend~!

Yesterday I decided to have some fun and braid Lacye's mane and tail. Since her mane is the perfect length for the little buns. It only took 1 hr and she stood perfectialy still the whole time (though I think shay may have fallen asleep somewhere in that time) Anyway, here are some pics. She is looking so dark and pretty and she looks so mature in the face and filled out!

I have to say, all fancied up like that makes her look like a warmblood or someother fancy breed. She is DEFINATLY an english horse!! I've got a few more pics but Flickr did not upload them, so I'll get them posted asap!

I'm so bad, I've gone about a month without a post and so much has happened that I should have poseted about.

To start with, Jasper is doing great and growing like a weed.

Lacey is now 5 months old (WOW!!) and I'll post some pics of her on her 5'th month b-day.

Look at these two pics carefully, / and /, don't Mina and Lacey look IDENTICAL in the face!?

In this next pic, you can see how big Lacey is now. To think, She used to be able to walk underneath Mina!!

This next pic shows how nice Mina's looking now, Glossy and plump.

OK, the other day I spent around 2.5 hrs doing Mina's Mane and tail, here are some pics, let me know what you think.

 

I also have a very funny, but weird story to tell you.

The other day I was feeding the horses their snack of hay. So i walk into Mina and Lacey's paddock and go into their stall, fluff their hay into a pile then turn aruond and walk out.

Lacey bolts inside to get out of the pouring rain. Once I'm outside I'm about to climb through the fence (it's about 30 feet away from the stall entrance) When Lacey bolt out of the stall with somthing in her mouth. Then I realzide somthing, it's my Money!!!! She drops it at my feet then runs back into the stall. Now that was weird!! It' like she knew what it was, who's it was and how important it was! Now thats what I call a miracle!

The other day I had let all 5 horses eat in the pasture together and me and my brother went to work.

When I cam home that evening, my mom tells me Lacey's "Little" Mishap that occured earlier.

My dad had been planning to go to town that day but ended up leaving later then he had wanted to.

He had been watering the lawn when He saw Lacey thrashing around. Her head tightly wrapped in a lose part of our plastic white wire fence. Lacey had somehow got cought up in it and then managed to flip herself through the fence and into the next pasture, where she continued to thrash and then flip herself back into the other paddock.

My dad ran inside, grabbed a steak knife and ran to help her.

The wire was so tight, that my dad said, had she been there another 30 second, she surely would have killed herself!

When I cam home and heard this, I imediently checked her over, she had a few scratches and a VERY big and thick swollen welt around her neck. Let's just say she no longer sticks her head in the fence anymore!

Meet Jasper, my mom's new Puppy!

He is sooooo Adorable!

I'm not going to post much except for a bit of info and some pics, info first...

Jasper is an 11 week old (Turned 11 weeks old yesterday) Pappillon.

She is 3 lb's and will not weigh more then 8-10lb's when full grown.

My mom found a Pappillon breeder online that was based in Ontario, so she started talking to the breeder about getting a pup after we moved. Since things were going so slow with our house, we soon decided to bring Jaspe here, so on July 22'nd, Jasper took his first plane ride to the island.

He flew to Victoria where we picked him up and spent the day.

He is a cuddle bug and is ooo cute, ok pic time!

Yesterday we went to see Hancock.

There is only one thing I can say about that movie....

WOW!!

It was AMAZING!! I LOVED it!!!

I give it 5 stars out of 5!!!  

For those of you that want to see it but are not sure you will like it, here is some info that may be usefull.

Here is a bit of description that I found of the movie online:

There are heroes... there are superheroes... and then there's Hancock (Will Smith). With great power comes great responsibility -- everyone knows that -- everyone, that is, but Hancock. Edgy, conflicted, sarcastic, and misunderstood, Hancock's well-intentioned heroics might get the job done and save countless lives, but always seem to leave jaw-dropping damage in their wake. The public has finally had enough -- as grateful as they are to have their local hero, the good citizens of Los Angeles are wondering what they ever did to deserve this guy. Hancock isn't the kind of man who cares what other people think -- until the day that he saves the life of PR executive Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman), and the sardonic superhero begins to realize that he may have a vulnerable side after all. Facing that will be Hancock's greatest challenge yet -- and a task that may prove impossible as Ray's wife, Mary (Charlize Theron), insists that he's a lost cause.

Drama/Love: Lot's of Drama, but not corny Drama. It's really good Drama. As for Love scenes, NONE!!!! except for a couple pecks on the cheek exchanged between husband and wife (Which Is Normal).

Action: LOTS and LOTS of Action! I LOOOOVE the action scenes! They are exciting and Thrilling! Just be carefull, In the Theater you may think your eardrums are going to explode! LOL

Violence: Umm, what can I say other then yes, there is Violence. But not stupid Violence, it's Good vs. Bad violence, nothing dumb.

Language: The most common swear word in that movie were A** and S***. Once or twice they said F*** but that's it. Nothing really dumb and they were not overkill with it.

Gore: No Gore, there were scenes where somthing would happen that you'd think they would make all gorey, but they would not show it.

Idiotic Stuff: Nope, there were a coupl of stupid but hilariouse scenes. I won't tell them to you because it will ruin the suprise when you see the movie.

Comedy: DEFINATLY!! It was so funny in some scenes I was CRYING!!! I don't cry easily when it comes to laughing! In fact, I think the whle theater was laughing to death! It is just so darn hilarious in about 50% of the scenes! not stupid funny, but funny funny!
