Going over my "Things to do in 2009" list.

The other day, I stumbled across an old blog entry. It was posted on January 7'th, 2009. Here is a recap.....

My goals are:

# 1: Write and finish a whole novel. I don't care what it is about as long as I finish it, LOL.

# 2: Become a monthly paid writer.

# 3: Enter my first horse show.

# 4: MOVE!!

# 5: Win my first horse show

# 6: Become a paid writer

#  7: Become more organized

Going over the list, I started to think about how much I have/have not done this year. Let's see.

#1: I have written and finished an entire novel of a series, and I am now working on the sequel. I also have plans to publish this series, and things are in the works for getting book 1 published.

#2: I have not become a paid, monthly writer. I am still writing for free, but hopefully that will change soon once my name is more well known.

#3: I have not entered a horse show this year. I hate to say it, but I haven't even ridden as much as I would have liked to. But when I do ride, I work on jumping. So far, Raiah is up to 2'6", and Mina is up to 1'3"

#4: We have not moved, and we will be taking the house off the market on November 1'st. So we are all praying really hard that SOMETHING will happen in the next two days and it will sell!

#5: Well since I haven't entered a horse show, I'd have to say I defiantly did not win it either =P

#6: Yes. I have been a paid writer. I wrote an article last October that was published in a horse magazine across Northern Canada and the US. I was paid for that, much to my own surprise. But it still counts.

#7: Well what can I say. I struggle with this. Most of all, I struggle with organizing my time. But I am working very hard on fixing that. But I think it is something that won't just happen over night.

Well those are the things that I have, and have not done this year. I am extremely proud of myself for number one. It is the first novel I have ever finished, and I am actually still interested in it enough to continue on with book 2, and the rest of the series.

Here is a small preview of book one of "the extra-ordinary" series.

What would you do, if you had a secret? A secret so big,it would change your whole life if even one person knew it? Well I have a secret like that. It's changed my life, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. No one can ever find out about me, not even my best friend or my mother. I fear, if they knew about me, they would leave me and I'd be alone. Hunted like a wild animal.
Then what?

It was allot of hard work, but well worth it in the end.
