April: I'm wanting to start to teach my almost 5 year old to read. Any tips/surefire ways to get this going? I'm using Teach your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons. This is the only part of homeschooling that's ever scared me!

Horse Shows....Magazine Articles and Jumping Horses...OH MY!!!!

We went to another hrose show today.

Only this was Dressage, not Jumping.

It was begginer Dressage and not as exciting as I had hoped it would be.

Mostly trotting in circles and and side trotting.

I took some pics, but I have to upload them, so it may be in my next post.

Not much new other then that, Oh, Lacey turned 4 months old yesterday, I've got some new pics, I'll post them later on aswell.

I'm hoping to be able to go to another horse show on July18th-20 (only go on one day though) this show will be jumping. The heights will range from 2'-3'3"

Speaking of Jumping, Me and Raiah arenow jumping 2 feet together!! (Maybe I can convice my mom to let me enter Raiah in the show!! HEHE!! No, we would not do that)

It is so amazing! Raiah is really learing to love jumping, and she jumps over everything now, even a 1 inch stick laying on the ground! LOL.

Though We have to teach her that she only jumps when I'm on her.LOL

I rode Mina yesterday and we practiced stepping over 6". She was scared at first, so I had to dis-mount and walke over it a few time with her before we could ride over it.

She's doing really good, I've been leaving Lacey loose while I ride Mina, That way Mina is relaxed because she can still see Lacey. and lacey is not neighing and crying the whole time, causing Mina to get distracted!

OH, I finaly got my article scanned, so here it is! My VERY first, published monthly article!!
