I can't believe it, Mina has been here for a year as of today!!!
We've decided to call June 13'th Mina's Birthday!
So Mina is now 5 years old.
Today I'm going to post the journal entry I made the day Mina arived last year, here it is...
Well, my life long prayer has come true.
My *DREAM* horse has come to me.
Mina (aka KitKAt) was trailered over here today.
I went with a few other people to pick her up and we were gone for about 2 1/2 hours (It took about 15-20 to load her, the rest was spent cleaning.)
She is here now and has fit righ it, I have been able to touch her nose and she'll eat from my hand, but that is about it.
My mom could not wait to get some pics of her and took ALOT of them.
I'll show you all them, here they are....
She is SOOOOOO pretty, we think that she might have some Morgan, Canadian, Andalusion or some other type of fancy horse in her build.
She moves sooo gracefully and she has to be one of the sweetest tempered mares I have EVER met.
I took a look at her teeth as well today, and I'm sure that there is a slim chance she is over 5 years old.
We are also suspecting that she is pregnant, becouse she has been living around stallinos since last fall. (of 2006)
She might not be halter broke or anything, but like I've said before, I'm always up for a challange.
Well, I'm going out to see my new horse and the ferrier is coming tomorrow so I might not post again.

In only one year, Mina has acompished more then I ever would have thought possible, This is a list of everything she's done...
1: We ride almost daily.
2: She's given birth to a beautiful filly.
3: She's my best friend.
4: She's bumped herself up to lead mare (Raiah would disagree, but it's true!)
5: She has jumped over a 4 foot fence (No I did not force her, she got scared one day and she and Lacey jumped over our 4 foot fence)
6: She has created a bond with our other horses.
7: She is 99% bombproof.
8: I've finaly been able to gallop on her!!
9: There are MANY other things, but I don't have that much time on here, LOL.
I still cannot believe it has already been a year.
It still seems like yesterday that I first saw her at the rescue, thin and scared.
I stil remember the first day I saw her.
I had thought that she was actualy not that pretty or attractive.
I just looked at her and thought "Whatever, as long as I get a horse."
it's funny though, I always believed that a horse picks it's owner before the owner picks it's horse.
I know Mina picked me.
When we had gone to trailer her up, ( I was with 2 women and the 1 teenage girl) all three of them were VERY suprised when Mina allowed me to feed her an apple from my hand, No one had ever gotten that close to her before.
She definatly picked me before I picked her.
